How long does it take to receive my order?
Since all products are handmade in Exton, PA you should allow an average of 2 weeks for delivery, from order date. (Barrette orders are typically much faster and I try to mail out within a couple days).

If you need a rush on a particular order, please contact me and I will work with you.

What are your Shipping and Handling costs?
Chesapeake Ribbons will Ship as follows (No Tracking):

Flat Rate $2.00 shipping (will ship First-class, USPS)

Flate Rate $5.50 shipping (will ship priority mail , USPS)

We can ship internationally for an additional fee. E-mail me for more information.

What types of payment do you accept?
At this time, Chesapeake Ribbons accepts payments from PayPal.
PayPal is a free and safe way to send money without sharing any financial information.

What is the Return Policy?
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, Chesapeake Ribbons will refund the price of the item or exchange the item within 30 days. I do not reimburse shipping costs for returned items. All merchandise must be returned in a new and unused condition. Once the return merchandise is received a store credit will be issued. Please note this policy excludes custom-made products.

Are you prices for one barrette/bow or for a pair?
Our price is for an individual barrette/bow.

What kinds of barrettes are used?
Infant/Toddler barrettes are crafted with a 1.25” snap clip barrette that has been carefully covered with grosgrain ribbon. Not only does the covered clip prevent the barrette from slipping out of baby fine hair, but it also provides a comfortable fit so your baby will not even recognize she is wearing anything.
I recommend this size for Newborns and Toddlers; however I do have some adult clients that love these small barrettes for holding back annoying wisps (especially while trying to grow out bangs).

2” snap clip barrette also covered with ribbon. This size allows for more hair to be held back. I recommend this barrette for young girls ages 4 and up.

Bows are handmade and attached using an Alligator clip that is has been covered with grosgrain ribbon. The bow works very well when used to accent pigtails and ponytails. Because the bow is covered with ribbon, it also can be worn as a barrette to sweep hair away from the face.

The French Style Barrette works well with older girls, adult hair, and thick, wavy hair. (If you have extremely thick or wavy hair, you can remove the curved insert, to secure more hair). Please keep in mind however, I estimate these sizes based on the thickness and texture of the hair, through trial & error.
