<body-html>
During the next 3 months, Chesapeake Ribbons will be donating 25% of all purchases to the efforts in Haiti…specifically to Doctors without Borders.

Chesapeake Ribbons regularly donates to autism awareness organizations, cancer research institutions and children’s cancer organizations. We are a charitable organization, and we give to the following causes:

Devereux C.A.R.E.S School
Devereux C.A.R.E.S. School in Downington, PA is an approved private school for children who have been diagnosed with Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, or Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified.
As a former Primary Instructional Coordinator at Devereux C.A.R.E.S., I feel that it is only appropriate to donate Chesapeake Ribbons’ products to benefit children with autism throughout the year. Chesapeake Ribbons’ donated gifts are sold at Devereux C.A.R.E.S.’s Annual PTO Fundraiser booth at the Philadelphia Walk Now Event as well as at other various fundraising events throughout the year.

Wigs 4 Kids
Wigs 4 Kids is a charitable organization that serves children with cancer, alopecia, trichotillomania, lupus, hydrocephalus and burns. These children all face challenging disorders that have altered their appearance and caused major hair loss. Chesapeake Ribbons’ donations are included in the gift bags Wigs 4 Kids gives their children at the annual Wigs 4 Kids gala.

The Johns Hopkins Children’s Center will be using Chesapeake Ribbons’ products for a different purpose:
“The most significant benefit of these items is that children, from infants to teenagers, have a hard time maintaining their normal level of self-care and grooming while here in the hospital. A headband or a barrette that can keep their hair off of their faces, especially if they have not been able to bathe, will be such an asset! The fact that the accessories are so attractive is a great bonus!”
“Autism Speaks is dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism; to raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society; and to bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder. We are committed to raising the funds necessary to support these goals.” Chesapeake Ribbons donates 25% of each sale to this important organization.

“Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever.
In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure, we have invested nearly $1 billion to fulfill our promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.”
Chesapeake Ribbons donates 25% of each sale to this wonderful fund, close to our heart!
