Chesapeake Ribbons – We Have Heart!

Chesapeake Ribbons donates to autism awareness organizations, cancer research institutions and children’s cancer organizations. We are a charitable organization, and we give to the following causes:

Devereux C.A.R.E.S School
Devereux C.A.R.E.S. School in Downington, PA is an approved private school for children who have been diagnosed with Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, or Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified.
As a former Primary Instructional Coordinator at Devereux C.A.R.E.S., I feel that it is only appropriate to donate Chesapeake Ribbons’ products to benefit children with autism throughout the year. Chesapeake Ribbons’ donated gifts have been sold at Devereux C.A.R.E.S.’s Annual PTO Fundraiser booth and the Philadelphia Walk Now Event, as well as at other various fundraising events throughout the year.

The Johns Hopkins Children’s Center  Chesapeake Ribbons’ products have been donated for a different purpose:
“The most significant benefit of these items is that children, from infants to teenagers, have a hard time maintaining their normal level of self-care and grooming while here in the hospital. A headband or a barrette that can keep their hair off of their faces, especially if they have not been able to bathe, will be such an asset! The fact that the accessories are so attractive is a great bonus!”

Autism Speaks
“Autism Speaks is dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism; to raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society; and to bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder. We are committed to raising the funds necessary to support these goals.” Chesapeake Ribbons donates 25% of each sale to this important organization.

Susan G. Komen Fund
“Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever.
In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Chesapeake Ribbons donates 25% of each sale to this wonderful fund, close to our heart!

weeBgreen Chesapeake Ribbons also cares about our environment therefore we have joined forces with fellow friend, weeBgreen, to weeCycle items you have outgrown and use for new green prodcucts! Click here to learn how you can participate in this program.
